If you have been following Nigeria football for a very long time, it is certain you know the player who is dubbed 'the weapon of mass destruction' due to his high goalscoring rate.
Former Inter Milan and Newcastle striker Obafemi Martins was called by that nickname during his days at San Siro Stadium as result of his ability to hit the target with ferocious shots.
Since his last appearance for the Super Eagles in 2015 against Swaziland, the team have failed to produce another striker who can hit the ball with so much power.
Though Kelechi Iheanacho and Odion Ighalo have managed to get many goals for Gernot Rohr's side, none of them can boast of scoring long-range shots on regular basis like the 34-year-old.
However, the wait for the next 'weapon of mass destruction' is as good as over with the integration of Paul Onuachu into the team.
Onauchu, 24, introduced himself to Nigerians in grand style following his quick goal against Egypt last month.
The time in which he scored the goal was awesome, but the tall centre-back deserves much praises for the techniques he used in converting the beautiful long-range effort.
It has been a while that a Super Eagles player scored such beautiful goal, meaning Onuachu might just be the best replacement for Obafemi Martins.

Apart from scoring beautiful goals, the FC Midtjylland striker equally knows how to find the back of the net without stress just like Martins.
He has recorded 16 goals so far this season and he currently tops the list of Nigeria's highest goalscorers in Europe.
