UYL: 'New Michael Ballack' In Contention To Face Barcelona, Travels With Chelsea Squad To Nyon
England youth international of Nigerian descent Faustino Anjorin is in contention to make his third appearance in this season's UEFA Youth League against Barcelona on Friday evening in Nyon.

Allnigeriasoccer.com can confirm that the central midfielder was in Chelsea U19s traveling party to Switzerland on Thursday afternoon.

Anjorin has received the medical green light from Chelsea doctors to feature in today's game at the Centre sportif de Colovray (Nyon) and trained with the squad on Thursday before their trip to Nyon.

Hailed as the new Michael Ballack, the Poole-born starlet will be hoping to become the third player of Nigerian descent to score in the semifinals of the UEFA Youth League, if he is handed some minutes by manager Joe Edwards.

Dominic Solanke, now with Bournemouth, and Tammy Abraham registered their names on the scoresheet when Chelsea faced off with Roma in April 2015.

Former Nigeria U23 international Godswill Ekpolo played for Barcelona in the semifinal in 2014 and captained the Spanish side when they beat an Arsenal side containing Alex Iwobi and Chuba Akpom in the last eight.
