Balogun Not Unfazed By Injury, Lack of Brighton Playing Time
Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun is optimistic that he will have his chances of playing regularly for his Premier League side Brighton despite manager  ‎Chris Hughton's preference for the duo of Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk.

The Nigerian international who has 28 caps for the Super Eagles has played just eight league games and two FA Cup matches for the Seagulls this season but in an exclusive interview with allnigeriasoccer.com, the player was rather positive and also spoke about settling in England following his summer arrival from Germany.

"I will be honest with you, there are happier situations but I'm not surprised about my limited playing time. I'm used to this kind of situations,'' Balogun said.

"I know how to deal with it and I'm always positive. I just have to keep doing my job. This has been the first injury for a long time. It could be better though.''

Talking about the management of the injury the defender revealed that it is not as bad as first thought.

"It's just structural damage but I can deal with it. It just takes time so I have to be patient. I know my body - it is not too bad," Balogun stated reassuringly.

Brighton and Hove on Saturday were defeated 1-0 in the semifinals of the FA Cup by Manchester City who are chasing a quadruple this season having already won the Carabao Cup in February.
