Official : Uche Ikpeazu Extends Contract At Heart of Midlothian Until 2022
Published: March 07, 2019Scottish Premiership team Heart of Midlothian have confirmed via their official website that Nigerian striker Uche Ikpeazu has penned a new contract with the club.
The new agreement between club and player will keep the former Dream Team VI invitee at Tynecastle Park until 2022.
Ikpeazu has been offered a new contract eight months after his arrival from Cambridge United despite spending four months on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on a foot injury.
Speaking on the new deal, Ikpeazu stated : ''This club has given me a great platform to improve. I love the club, the fans, the city and my teammates as well.
''I genuinely think I’m improving and getting back to my best...I feel I’m back playing really good now.
''I feel confident and it’s just the goals to come, really. Now is the right time to extend my contract here because I feel the love from the management, the staff and the fans''.

A product of Reading, Ikpeazu has been directly involved in 8 goals (4 goals, 4 assists) in 16 appearances for Heart of Midlothian.
