Right Of First Refusal : Charleroi Insist AC Milan Have Not Made A Club-Record 15M Euros Bid For Osimhen
Published: January 30, 2019With a day left before the close of the January transfer window, Belgian First Division A club Sporting Charleroi have played down speculation linking Victor Osimhen with a switch to Italian giants AC Milan.
Milan are in the market for a striker after they were priced out of moves for Gerard Deulofeu and Yannick Carrasco, and have turned their attention to the Nigeria international.
Osimhen joined Sporting Charleroi on a season-long loan last summer and is doing much better than he did in Germany, scoring 10 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions.
Should Wolfsburg decide to sell him this month, Charleroi have the right of first refusal on his services as a a purchase clause was inserted into the agreement between the German and Belgian clubs.
Chief Executive of Charleroi, Mehdi Bayat has revealed that he would consider selling the Nigerian only if they receive a bid of more than 15 million euros.
''Any transfer from Osimhen is only negotiable for more than 15 million and at present no club has made such an offer," Bayat told Het Nieuwsblad.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can report that Osimhen was courted by Italian champions Juventus before he was snapped up by Wolfsburg in 2017.
