Official: Premier League Club Burnley Loan Out Exciting Nigerian Defender
Published: January 10, 2019EFL League Two club Swindon Town have won the race to land teenage Nigerian left-back Ali Koiki and this is official.
The Robins are reporting on their official website that the 19-year-old Burnley starlet has joined the club on loan for the remainder of the 2018-2019 campaign.
Having made the bench for Premier League matches against Arsenal and West Ham in December, Koiki is in line to make his professional debut for Swindon Town against Lincoln City on Saturday, January 12.
In his first words after signing the contract, Koiki said : ''I’m just really excited to get started – it’s a new chapter in my career and I’m eager to see how things go. It’s the beginning of a journey for me, playing men’s football so really want to get things going.
''The men’s game is spoken about a lot and it’s big step up from youth football to men’s football so I want to make sure I get into it and make an impact.''
The strong and powerful left-sided player represented the youth team of Crystal Palace prior to his move to Burnley in the summer of 2016.
