Official : Liverpool Midfielder Billed As The Next Steven Gerrard Inks New Contract
Published: December 21, 2018Former England U17 international midfielder Herbie Kane signed a new contract with Liverpool on Friday, The Reds have reported on their official website.
The 20-year-old has also prolonged his stay at League One outfit Doncaster Rovers for the remainder of the 2018-2019 season.
Born in Bristol, Kane began his career at local club Bristol City before he was signed by Liverpool in 2013.
''It is massive, coming from a massive club like Liverpool, so I’m happy,'' Kane stated.
''I was excited to get it done. It took a lot of hard work to get this, but thankfully it is done. Hopefully I can carry on working hard and get to where I want to be.''
Dubbed the next Steven Gerrard, Kane was a regular member of Liverpool's U23 team prior to his loan move to Doncaster Rovers.
He registered three goals in eight appearances in last season's UEFA Youth League.
