'Saka Played With A Big Personality' : Arsenal Coach Hails Winger After Impressive Home Debut
Published: December 14, 2018Despite celebrating his seventeenth birthday three months ago, Nigerian starlet Bukayo Saka played with a big personality in Arsenal's 1-0 win against Qarabag on match day six of the Europa League on Thursday.
Saka proved to be a handful for the Qarabag defenders with his direct playing style and became a target of some harsh tackles towards the end of the match.
In his post-match comments shortly after yesterday's game at the Emirates Stadium, Emery was quoted as saying by arsenal.com : ''Today Saka also played with a good performance, with a very big personality and we were speaking at half-time.
''They were trying… his personality is very important for us to continue trying to go 1v1 and break lines with his quality.
''He played with a very big personality and sometimes with a very good performance. It’s very important for his confidence and for us also, because we can look at this player and see quality to help us.''
Arsenal qualified for the last 32 as Group E winners and will find out their opponents for the round of 32 next Monday 17th December when the draw is held in Nyon (Switzerland).
