Official: Porto's Nigeria National Teamer Mikel Returns To Vitoria Setubal On Loan
Published: August 31, 2018Nigeria international midfielder Mikel Agu has returned to Portuguese Primeira Liga side Vitória Setúbal for a second spell.
The 25-year-old arrives at Vitória Setúbal on loan from FC Porto until the end of the 2018-2019 campaign, having spent the entirety of last season on loan at Turkish club Bursaspor.
Mikel Agu had offers to join other Portuguese plus foreign teams and has explained why he chose Vitória Setúbal.
Speaking to Vitória's official website, Mikel said : 'I had other options in Portugal and abroad but when my manager told me about Vitoria's interest I did not think twice.
''I already know this city and the club well and it was here that Stefano was born, about a year and eight months ago. My passage through Vitoria helped me a lot and for that reason the decision was easy .''
Mikel Agu has chosen to wear the number 46 jersey at Vitória Setúbal, he made 34 appearances in all competitions in his first stint with the Estádio do Bonfim outfit.
