Super Eagles Attacking Midfielder Doubtful To Show Off To Manchester United On Sunday
Published: August 29, 2018Super Eagles star Alhassan Ibrahim is unlikely to feature for CD Nacional when they take on Benfica in the Portuguese Primeira Liga on Sunday, September 2.
The attacking midfielder is nursing an injury which led to his substitution in the 29th minute against Vitória Setúbal in the last round of matches.
According to Portuguese sports daily A Bola, Manchester United, who are coached by Jose Mourinho, have already asked for accreditation for the game and everything is pointing to the fact that the Premier League giants will send one of their many scouts to the Estádio da Madeira.
Ibrahim's ailment is a big blow to CD Nacional manager, Costinha, as he has named the Nigerian in the starting lineup in each of their first three games in the new season.
The 21-year-old joined CD Nacional on a four-year contract in July 2018 after his transfer to another Portuguese club Marítimo fell through.
Former Enugu Rangers midfielder Christian Madu is also on the books of CD Nacional.
