Done Deals: Two Super Eagles Strikers Complete Moves To Iraqi, Indian Clubs
Published: August 27, 2018Two Nigeria international strikers, Kingsley Eduwo and Bartholomew Ogbeche, have completed moves to Asian clubs.
Former
Super Eagles Team B star, Eduwo, will be spending the remainder of the
2018-2019 campaign on loan at Iraqi Premier League side Al-Najaf FC from Tunisian outfit CS Sfaxien.
The
22-year-old represented Lobi Stars, Gateway United and Sunshine Stars
in his homeland before he was acquired by CS Sfaxien in the January
transfer window.
Indian
Super League team NorthEast United have pulled off a transfer coup with
the signing of free agent Ogbeche, who found himself unemployed at the
end of last season after his contract was not renewed by Willem II.
The experienced frontman has played in the United Arab Emirates for Al Jazira Club back in the 2005-2006 season.
Ogbeche
lists Paris Saint-Germain, Bastia, Metz, Alavés, Valladolid, Cádiz,
Kavala, Middlesbrough, Xerez and Cambuur amongst his former clubs.
Now 33, he was one of the youngest players for the Super Eagles at the 2002 World Cup.
