Victor Moses has called time on his international career with the Super Eagles, the Chelsea winger has revealed on his official Twitter handle on 15th August 2018.
In a shocking statement on the social media platform on Wednesday afternoon, he wrote,
"I have experienced some of the best moments of my life wearing the Super Eagles shirt and have memories with me that will last a lifetime.
"However I feel that now is the right time to step away in order to be able to focus fully on club career and my young family as well as to allow the next generation of Super Eagle stars the opportunity to step up and to flourish."
Prior to his switching allegiance from England to represent Nigeria, the 27-year-old had turned out for the Three Lions youth teams at various levels.
He had then went on to make more than 37 appearances for the country's senior team, scoring 12 goals since making his debut in 2012.
He was part of Super Eagles team at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil while also starring at the just concluded edition in Russia where he scored a goal against Group D rivals, Argentina.
