Queens Park Rangers are without a single point after two matches in the second-tier following their 2-1 loss to Sheffield United at Loftus Road. Ebere Eze celebrated his new contract with QPR by opening the scoring in the 29th minute.
The former Super Eagles invitee fired home from eighteen yards when the ball broke kindly to him.
A division lower, Josh Maja took his tally to two goals in the opening two games after finding the net in Sunderland's 1-1 draw at Luton Town.
The 19-year-old striker gave the Black Cats the lead just before half-time when he raced onto a clever pass and slid the ball into the bottom corner.
Still in League One, former Chelsea trialist Victor Adeboyejo scored two minutes after his introduction as Barnsley claimed a 2-0 win over Bradford at Northern Commercials Stadium.
Adeboyejo was in the right place at the right time and tapped in a second goal for the Reds on 70 minutes.
Norwich City loanee Diallang Jaiyesimi opened his account for Yeovil Town as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Mansfield Town in a League Two encounter at Huish Park. The 20-year-old winger made it 1-0 after five minutes.
Still in the division, John Akinde registered his name on the score-sheet on his home debut for Lincoln City in their 4-1 hammering of Swindon Town at Sincil Bank Stadium.
The experienced striker converted a spot kick in the tenth minute to give Lincoln City a 1-0 lead.
Finally, a second half brace from ex-England U19 star Adebayo Azeez helped Cambridge United beat Notts County 3-2 in a five-goal thriller at the Abbey Stadium.
Azeez equalized for the home team in the 46th minute before he made it 2-1 just past the hour mark.
