Official: : Al-Fateh Snap Up Nigerian-Born Burkinabe Midfielder Maarouf Yussuf
Published: July 31, 2018Nigerian-born Burkinabe midfielder Maarouf Yussuf has ended his association with Egyptian Premier League team Zamalek after penning a contract with Saudi Arabian club Al-Fateh.
Maroof Yusuf has spent the last seven years of his
professional career representing Egyptian Premier League teams; first
turning out for El Shorta before sealing a move to Zamalek in the summer
of 2014.
The 25-year-old was born in Ilorin to Burkinabe parents and debuted for the Stallions in a friendly against Democratic Republic of Congo in November 2012.
Yusuf has appeared in the CAF Champions League and played over 150 matches in the Egyptian Premier League.
Though he was invited to the Super Eagles squad for an African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa last year, he didn't make the match day squad.
