Arsenal Star Iwobi Names His Best Position And It's Not Left Midfield
Published: June 04, 2018Arsenal starlet Alex Iwobi has suggested that he is not playing in his best position for the Nigerian National Team.
The Hale End Academy product has played in a variety of roles for club and country, including left winger, right winger, left midfield, attacking midfield and center forward, but he prefers playing in the number ten role.
''For me, I have always grown up playing in number ten, not striker but close to the striker. That has always been my position growing up,'' Iwobi said to ACL Sports.
''I have learnt to adapt to a different position, I have played left midfield, I have played central midfield, I have played right midfield.
''I have played in a number of positions but my favourite position will probably be number ten.''
Leading up to the World Cup, Iwobi is one of Nigeria's most in-form offensive players, with four goals in his last seven matches for the Super Eagles.
