Injured Gent Winger Moses Simon Reacts After World Cup Omission
Published: June 02, 2018Gent's Moses Simon was crestfallen after an injury ruled him out of the 2018 World Cup, but has sent a good luck message to his international teammates.
Scans conducted in London on Thursday evening confirmed everyone's worst fears about his availability for the finals in Russia, with the winger ruled out of action for a minimum of three weeks.
Shortly after receiving the medical report from the doctors, Moses Simon checked out of the Super Eagles Hilton London Wembley hotel and headed to Belgium to lick his wounds.
''I will like to thank all my fans for the love, support and prayers during this trying time, you all are amazing people it’s just a pity that I couldn’t make it to #Russia but man proposes but God disposes,'' Simon posted on Instagram.
''I will definitely be back soon stronger and better. To #supereagles🇳🇬🦅 I wish u all d best of luck in Russia go and make us proud 💪🏾.''
Moses Simon started four matches in the third round of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, scoring once against Cameroon in Yaounde.
