Rohr Experiments With 4-1-3-2 Formation: Omeruo RB, Aina LB, Idowu CB, Iwobi Striker
Published: May 27, 2018Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr experimented with a 4-1-3-2 formation during the Super Eagles training session on Sunday evening ahead of tomorrow's friendly against the Leopards, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.
Chippa United goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi was in between the pipes for the team wearing blue bibs or the Team A in the practice game.
Versatile defender Kenneth Omeruo was deployed at right-back, with Chelsea teammate Ola Aina slotting in at left-back, a role he played in more than ten matches for Hull City during the 2017-18 campaign.
Amkar Perm star Brian Idowu and the fit again Chidozie Awaziem were the central defenders.
The role reserved for a strong and talented defensive central midfielder was taken by Ogu, Mikel Agu and Uche Agbo played as central midfielders, while Obi Mikel played slightly ahead of the trio.
Arsenal starlet Alex Iwobi and Changchun Yatai's Odion Ighalo were the two center forwards.
