Official Super Eagles Injury Update : Awaziem, Ndidi, Joel Obi, Simon, Ekong, Ebuehi
Published: May 27, 2018Ahead of the Super Eagles final workout before they take to the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium pitch for a frindly against Democratic Republic of Congo, allnigeriasoccer.com has contacted a Nigeria Football Federation insider to provide an update on the fitness of the players with injury concerns.
Wilfred Ndidi: The coach must decide when to bring him into full training. Ndidi is not playing against Congo, Rohr said he doesn't want to take any risk, that's why he is giving him extra days. The coach is the one taking it easy, Ndidi is ready for full training but wants to give him more time. He wants to see if he can play the England game.
William Troost-Ekong: He is training very well. His skipping full training two days ago was just precautionary, they don't want to take any risk. Any time he feels pains, they tell him to go the sidelines. There's no problem with him, he is training regularly and playing in the practice games.
Moses Simon : He is also working well, we are waiting for the result of the scan but he is not feeling any pain. He can run, they don't want him to aggravate the injury and that's why he is not training fully with the team.
Joel Obi: He is doing well, he has been doing all the training including the practice games, has never been sidelined.
Tyronne Ebuehi: He has been involved in all the sessions.
Chidozie Awaziem: It was just a minor knock he picked yesterday but he is already walking well. We don't expect this to be a problem. In this kind of situation, we don't want to take any risk, any kind of knock the player is told to sit on the sidelines.
