Official: Chelsea's Longest-Serving Player Departs Club After Eight Years
Published: April 03, 2018Chelsea's longest-serving player Matej Delac will depart the Premier League champions at the end of the season.
Danish Superliga outfit AC Horsens have informed via their official website that the goalkeeper will join the club on a free transfer when his contract with the Blues expires in June 2018.
The ex-Croatia U21 star has penned a two-year deal that will keep him at AC Horsens until the end of the 2019-2020 season.
In his first words, Delac told the club's official website : ''I've heard very well about the Danish league and I really like AC Horsens, where players, staff around the team and other people from the club have taken good care of me.
''I have had some good conversation with Peder Hansen and Bo Henriksen, and I look forward to working with them.
''This is a great opportunity for me, and I'm looking forward to playing time.''
The 25-year-old will leave Chelsea without a single first-team appearance to his name and was farmed out on loan to eight different clubs.
Matej Delac joined Chelsea from Inter Zaprešić and has been on the books of the club for eight years.
