Argentina Midfielder: If You Think Our Group Is Easy, You Know Nothing About Football
Published: February 14, 2018AC Milan's Argentina international Lucas Biglia believes that they are in a difficult group at the 2018 World Cup where they are up against African powerhouse Nigeria, Croatia and Iceland.
In addition, the 32-year-old admitted that Argentina rely on Lionel Messi too much and are not candidates to win the World Cup.
''We got used to throwing a giant backpack to (Lionel) Messi, if we continue like this we will be strong and without him a normal team, today Argentina is not a candidate to win the World Cup, we have to work a lot, we depend a lot on Messi and that's not good, '' Biglia told Fox Sports.
''As much as we learn to play without Messi we always depend on him because he changes the game in a second.
''It is not an easy group, anyone who thinks that does not know anything about football.''
Biglia, who has 55 caps for the Albiceleste, came off the bench for the South Americans in their 3-2 win over the Super Eagles at Brazil 2014.
