Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd Must Break Their Transfer Record To Sign Ndidi's Pal
Published: February 05, 2018Bayer Leverkusen would be willing to sell their prized jewel Leon Bailey to Premier League teams in the summer if they meet the asking price for the winger, according to reports.
The Jamaican is on the wishlist of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal and they must break their transfer record if they are to sign the winger.
According to German football magazine Kicker, sporting director of Bayer Leverkusen Jonas Boldt reckons that Bailey will command a similar transfer fee as Ousmane Dembele who joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund for £97million (around €110m) last summer.
Manchester United's transfer record for arrivals is €105m paid to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus, Chelsea's biggest transfer is Alvaro Morata's move from Real Madrid which cost €66m, while the Gunners broke their transfer record with the capture of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for €63.75m this January.
Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi and Leon Bailey were teammates at Racing Genk and the two friends left the Belgian side almost the same time for greener pastures.
This season, Bailey has scored 10 goals in 20 competitive games for Bayer and provided five assists.
He has a contract with Bayer Leverkusen until June 2022.
