What Arsenal Nigeria Fans Are Saying On Ozil Contract Extension
Published: February 02, 2018Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil officially put pen to paper on a fresh three-and-a-half year deal with the North London club, a contract bound to keep him at the club until at least 2021.
While the new deal would thus, end the swirling speculations that had been linking the German with an exit from the Emirates Stadium, having flirted with joining Alexis Sanchez at Manchester United for most part of the summer, the Nigerian Gunners faithfuls have had a thing or two to say about the deal.
Below are some of the reactions from them about their German talisman :
Goal.com writer, Solace Chukwu: "I think it was imperative that he re-sign with the club. My personal view was always that, of the two players with expiring contracts (he and Alexis), he was the more important in the long term. So it's a great deal for Arsenal, as well as for the player."
Kenneth Okechukwu: "This is one of the best transfer business for Arsenal and I am happy he extended. Now, back to business. #WeveGotOzil".
Adebowale Oludare: "Ozil is a gunner, anytime, any day. As for stories about Manchester United, that one no fit happen! Up Arsenal!"
Abdulazeez Bigeo: "Arsenal and Ozil. The relationship is already there, so forget story. Ozil is a born gunner!"
Taiwo Ednut: "Arsenal and their way of doing things. Right from time, there was no way Ozil was going to leave. Stories here and there but if you know, you know. Up Ozil! Up Arsenal!"
Ebuka Nwankwo: "Ozil + Mkhitaryan + Aubameyang⚡⚡💥🔥. Arsenal will soon set the Premier League on fire! Mark my words!"
