Roma Striker Deal On Hold Until After Chelsea's Match Vs Arsenal
Published: January 24, 2018Premier League champions Chelsea have yet to agree personal terms with Edin Dzeko despite having an agreement with Roma to sign the striker and left-back Emerson Palmieri.
According to transfer market specialist Gianluca di Marzio, Roma are set to play Sampdoria on Wednesday while Chelsea will face Arsenal, and the two games may put the deal on standby today.
Dzeko's agent has informed Chelsea his client's demands, but the Blues hierarchy has yet to agree to them.
The former Manchester City star is expected to receive up to eight million euros every year at the London club, which is almost double his wages in Rome.
If all goes well, Dzeko will play his last match for Roma tonight before heading to the English capital for his medical.
Including bonuses, Chelsea will pay Roma 60 million euros for the Bosnia captain and Emerson.
