Chelsea Loanee Ola Aina Scores First Professional Goal Against Blackburn Rovers
Published: January 06, 2018Nigeria international Ola Aina finally scored his maiden professional goal in Hull City's 1-0 win vs Blackburn Rovers in an Emirates FA Cup third round clash at Ewood Park on Saturday evening.
In his 31st game as a professional, Aina netted the game winner in the 58th minute as the Tigers secured a spot in the fourth round.
After a goalless first half, the Chelsea loanee headed home Jon Toral's corner at the back post and ended Blackburn Rovers's 18-match unbeaten run in the process.
Ola Aina started in his preferred right-back position against Rovers while Fikayo Tomori operated as a central defender.
The former England U19 skipper had been deployed as a left-back in eight of his last nine matches in the EFL Championship.
Aina spent 2,417 minutes on the pitch before netting his maiden goal as a professional.
