QPR Starlet, Who Wants To Play For Nigeria, Names His Preferred Position

Bright Osayi-Samuel made his full home league debut in Queens Park Rangers's 1-1 draw with Bristol City in the EFL Championship on Saturday afternoon.

The former Blackpool wonderkid was among three Nigerian players named in QPR's match day squad, the others being defender Nedum Onuoha and Aramide Oteh.

Osayi-Samuel arrived Queens Park Rangers as a pacy winger in the summer but was fielded in a central attacking role against Bristol City, and the teenager has said that he is more at home when deployed as a winger.

''I just want to show the manager that I'm capable of playing at this level,'' Osayi-Samuel told www.qpr.co.uk.

''I train every day to make an impression and I'm really enjoying my time here at QPR.''

The number 34 added : ''I prefer to play out wide but I’ll play wherever the manager wants me to play.

''I enjoy the 10 role and playing up front too.

''I felt myself and Idrissa linked up well at times and caused them problems – the only disappointment is that we didn’t get all three points.''

Born in Okija, Bright Osayi-Samuel has committed his international future to Nigeria ahead of England, and is targeting a call-up to Nigeria's U23 team.
