Arsenal And Tottenham Battling For Highly-Rated Ukrainian Goalkeeper
Published: December 12, 2017Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are battling for the signature of promising goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, the official website of Zorya Luhansk has revealed.
The 18-year-old was awarded the title of best goalkeeper of the first half of the season in the Ukrainian Premier League, and displayed his wares in the group stage of the Europa League, where he featured in all the matches contested by Zorya Luhansk.
''I have not heard of Real Madrid being interested. But other clubs are interested in him. In recent months, our matches were visited by scouts of different clubs. Both Arsenal and Tottenham,'' general director of Zorya Luhansk told FC Zorya official website.
''There were scouts from Germany, Italy, Belgium, Spain. Andriy still has a year and a half contract and he does not go anywhere.''
Former Nigeria U20 striker Alhaji Gero scored against Andriy Lunin on match day one in the Europa League .
