Scouts representing top European clubs were interested in the Turkish Super Lig clash between Trabzonspor and Antalyaspor on Monday evening, in which Super Eagles assistant captain Eddy Onazi was in action for the Black Sea Storm outfit for the entirety of the game, as per reports.

Other teams that made checks on the stars on both teams include Werder Bremen, Wolfsburg, Hamburg, Hannover and Stuttgart.

Whilst it is being alleged that the clubs were interested in Trabzonspor's academy graduate Yusuf Yazıcı, Nigerian star Eddy Onazi has been courted by Newcastle, Spurs, Man City, Werder Bremen, Wolfsburg and Hannover in the past.

Shortly after displaying his wares at the 2009 Fifa U17 World Cup, Onazi trained with Tottenham as well as Chelsea but was not signed due to work permit issues and it is for the same reason that the central midfielder missed out on a move to Birmingham City in the summer transfer window.
