Rohr Makes Up His Mind On Starting XI : How Team A & B Lined Up Final Workout Pre-Algeria
Published: November 10, 2017Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has already made up his mind on his starting line-up for today's World Cup qualifier against the national team of Algeria.
As exclusively reported by allnigeriasoccer.com on Wednesday night, it has now become clearer that ex-Chelsea defensive midfielder Mikel John Obi is doubtful to start the game against the Desert Foxes.
For the second straight training session on Thursday, Mikel was part of the second team or the so-called Team B, the eleven players expected to be named on the substitutes' bench.
Rohr has argued that Mikel was dropped because he didn't arrive the training camp early, and that's the same reason why Chippa United goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi was not considered for a starting spot.
In the last workout today, Team A contained : Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Ola Aina, Abdullahi Shehu, Leon Balogun, Troost-Ekong, John Ogu, Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Tony Nwakaeme and Alex Iwobi
Francis Uzoho, Daniel Akpeyi, Uche Agbo, Tyronne Ebuehi, Chidozie Awaziem, Kenneth Omeruo, Obi Mikel, Chidiebere Nwakali, Ahmed Musa, Henry Onyekuru and Olarenwaju Kayode were in the opposite team.
