Moses Fears For His Place In Chelsea Starting XI Ahead Of Arsenal Clash
Published: September 15, 2017After manager Antonio Conte gave the first-teamers a day off, Nigeria international Victor Moses was among the players that trained at Cobham on Thursday.
The right wing-back has posted on social media a photo of himself and other players undergoing a difficult training drill.
Including the Community Shield, Moses has clocked up 343 minutes since the start of this season but was not selected by manager Antonio Conte in the 6-0 rout of Qarabag in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Assuming the Super Eagles striker does not start Sunday's Premier League tie versus Arsenal, it will be a clear handwriting on the wall that Italy international Davide Zappacosta has displaced him.
In truth, Zappacosta impressed on his home debut against the Azerbaijani champions, scoring and providing an assist in a routine win by Chelsea, a performance certain to make Moses fear for his place in the starting line-up.
Last season, the former Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic man was one of the surprise packages as Chelsea won the title after he was converted into a right wing-back by Antonio Conte.
