NFF Confirm : Ola Aina Is Available For Selection Against Cameroon
Published: September 03, 2017The Nigeria Football Federation have officially stated that Ola Aina can make his international debut in a World Cup qualifier against Cameroon on Monday evening.
The problem holding up Aina's first appearance for the Super Eagles has cleared, with Fifa approving his request for a one-time change of association, having represented the youth teams of England in the past.
Nigerian Federation tweeted the good news/confirmation on Sunday morning : ''@Aina2Ola is available for selection against Cameroon tomorrow after being cleared by FIFA. #SoarSuperEagles #CMRNGA''.
Aina, 20, has predominantly played in the right-back position but can also play at center back, left back and wing-back.
According to the statisticians at WhoScored.com, the former England U19 skipper has made 12 interceptions and successfully completed 17 of his attempted 21 tackles so far this season.
