Ighalo Suffers Minor Hamstring Injury, Says He'll Be Ready To Face Cameroon
Published: September 02, 2017Former Watford striker Odion Ighalo has explained why he signaled to the bench to be substituted in the 60th minute of Nigeria's World Cup qualifier against Cameroon on Friday evening.
Ighalo picked up a minor hamstring injury but is confident he will be available for selection against the Indomitable Lions in two days time.
''I was feeling tight on my hamstring, that's why I didn't want to force it. We were winning 3-0 then.'' Odion Ighalo told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''I am okay and will be ready for our next game against Cameroon.''
Odion Ighalo showed his strength and composure to wriggle free of a Cameroonian defender before opening the scoring for the Super Eagles in the 29th minute.
