Tottenham Hotspur Offer Manchester United, Chelsea Target Five-Year Deal
Published: August 23, 2017Tottenham Hotspur are emerging as favourites to sign Paris Saint-Germain F.C defender Serge Aurier, as per reports.
Manchester United and Chelsea were contenders for the signature of the Ivory Coast international, but the London Evening Standard claims he is set to join Spurs on a five-year deal.
Tottenham Hotspur have been in the market for a right back following the departure of Kyle Walker to Manchester City, and are closing in on their number one target Aurier, with a fee of 23 million pounds being mooted.
PSG need to balance their books after signing Neymar for a world record fee earlier this month and have transfer-listed the African star, who has yet to play a competitive game for the club this season.
The stumbling block in Aurier's proposed move to Tottenham is that he has been forbidden from entering England after he was sentenced to two months in jail for elbowing a police officer.
