Published: July 30, 2017Premier League champions Chelsea were interested in the meeting between two of England's most successful academy sides Manchester United and Southampton at the SuperCupNI.
Scouts in Attendance has confirmed that a representative of the Blues was at Showgrounds, Coleraine on Wednesday, July 26.
Three players of Nigerian descent were on parade, Ademipo Odubeko and Shola Shoretire for Manchester United and Roland Idowu started for Southampton.
Manchester United number ten Shoretire stood out a mile at the SuperCupNI with some dazzling displays, especially against County Fermanagh, while Odubeko finished as his team's top scorer with three goals.
Ademipo Odubeko and Roland Idowu played for Republic of Ireland U15 team last season.
