Manchester United Poised To Offer New Deal To Top Scorer For Last Season
Published: July 12, 2017Manchester United are poised to offer Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic a new contract as he's making progress in his recovery from a knee injury.
According to The Sun, Ibrahimovic could return to action in October and Manchester United's medical team are pleasantly surprised by his recovery.
The Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho favours the striker's return to Old Trafford, and the player might be offered a short-term contract until the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
Last season, the former Sweden international found the net 28 times in 46 appearances in all competitions, and provided ten assists.
Manchester United did not take up the option on his two-year deal at the end of last season after he picked up a knee injury against Anderlecht in the Europa League.
