Chelsea Young Star Aina : Replacing Victor Moses Was Highlight Of My Season
Published: July 08, 2017Interviewed by the official website of Chelsea as part of its review of last season, former England U19 skipper Ola Aina has acknowledged that making his Premier League debut was the highlight of his season.
The Super Eagles hopeful finally made his Premier League bow when he replaced compatriot Victor Moses in the 82 minute of the clash between The Blues and Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on October 15, 2016.
Before Aina got his first taste of action in the English top-flight, he was a non-playing substitute against West Ham, Watford, Burnley and Liverpool.
''Making my Premier League debut against Leicester was a huge moment for me personally,'' Ola Aina said.
''I came on for Victor with about 10 minutes to go and we won the game 3-0, which was great. It’s a day I’ll always remember.''
Aina recorded three appearances in total for Chelsea in the league last term, having come off the bench against Bournemouth (December 26) and Watford (May 15).
