Leicester City Overtake West Ham In Race For Iheanacho, Man City Demand N11.4 Billion
Published: June 18, 2017Leicester City have leapfrogged West Ham in the race to sign Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, according to reports.
The Telegraph is reporting that Iheanacho and Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson are on the wishlist of Foxes manager Craig Shakespeare.
It has been claimed that Manchester City have upped their asking price for the Nigerian to £25 million (around N11.4 billion) and want a buy-back clause in any deal taking him out of the Etihad Stadium.
Iheanacho has been declared surplus to requirements by manager Pep Guardiola, but he is open to idea of remaining in the Premier League despite interest from abroad.
The 20-year-old Iheanacho, who scored seven goals last season, is under contract with City until the summer of 2021.
