Official : Belgium International Of Nigerian Descent Joins Kazakhstan Club FK Okzhetpes
Published: June 16, 2017Belgium international of Nigerian descent Marvin Ogunjimi has completed his transfer to Kazakhstan Premier League club FK Okzhetpes Kokshetau.
The attacker joins his new employer as a free agent after his contract with Albanian side Skënderbeu Korçë was mutually terminated.
Born in Mechelen, Ogunjimi spent his formative years with Rapid Leest, Roosendaal, Racing Mechelen and Mechelen.
The 29-year-old was very successful at Genk which earned him a move to Spanish side Mallorca, and has also played for teams based in Netherlands, Norway, South Korea and Thailand.
Ogunjimi was contacted by the Nigeria Football Federation to represent the Super Eagles at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, but eventually missed out on the roster because he didn't have a Nigerian passport.
