Leicester's Ndidi Has Message For Super Eagles Faithful : Relax, We Won't Let You Down
Published: June 09, 2017Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has sent a message to Nigeria fans ahead of the national team's African Cup of Nations qualifier with South Africa in Uyo.
Truth be told, the Super Eagles are under pressure to beat Bafana Bafana after missing out on the last two editions of Africa's flagship competition, and Ndidi is keen to fulfill the dream of the fans by starting the qualifying campaign on a winning note.
''I would say they should just relax and try to enjoy the game because we are giving our best to try and win every game, even friendlies,'' Ndidi told the Nigeria Football Federation.
''We don't take friendlies as just a friendly game, we take every game as a competitive game.
''I don't think we we are going to let them down on this one because every game we try to work for a win.''
Nigeria have never been beaten by South Africa in a competitive match for the past 26 years.
