Ndidi Reiterates Commitment To Leicester City Amid Manchester United Link
Published: June 08, 2017Leicester City Young Player of the Year Wilfred Ndidi has reiterated his commitment to the Foxes amid previous speculations linking him with a move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
The likes of Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and Demarai Gray have been linked with an exit from the King Power Stadium outfit, but their Nigeria international midfielder has pledged his loyalty to Leicester City for the umpteenth time.
''Of course for now (I am remaining), I am with Leicester City. They should expect more next season by God's grace,'' Ndidi told the Nigeria Football Federation.
Ndidi did well in his first season in England, settled down into the Leicester City team shortly after his arrival and helped the team finish strongly after earlier relegation fears.
''It is a very good thing because of the way everything was going and everything changed all of a sudden, that's the good thing about it and I am happy about it.
''I always wanted to play despite the big players. I don't think about those things, I just want to play,'' he added.
Ndidi, 20, is presently with the Nigerian national team in Uyo, preparing to take on South Africa in an African Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.
