Newcastle United On Brink Of Deal For Chelsea's Nigerian Teenage Sensation
Published: June 02, 2017Premier League newcomers Newcastle United are expected to wrap up a deal for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham in the coming days, according to reports.
Chronicle Live's Lee Ryder has reported that the Magpies are hopeful of completing a season-long loan deal for the England U21 international in the next 48 hours if everything goes according to plan.
Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez has a good relationship with Chelsea manager Antonio Conte as both were regularly in contact while Ghana star Christian Atsu was on loan at St James' Park.
Abraham has attracted admiring glances from the likes of Everton, Leicester City and Brighton & Hove, but Newcastle are nailed-on favourites to secure his signature.
The 19-year-old ended the season with 23 goals for Bristol City in the Championship.
