EPL New Boys Newcastle Open Talks To Sign Chelsea's Nigerian Super Talent
Published: June 01, 2017Newcastle United are working on a deal to sign England U21 international of Nigerian descent Tammy Abraham, according to reports.
The electronic edition of The Sun is reporting that The Magpies are currently holding negotiations with Premier League champions Chelsea over a loan deal, and are willing to cover his £25,000-a-week wages in full — plus an undisclosed rental fee.
Abraham's chances of featuring for Chelsea on a regular basis next season are slim and the attacker won't mind a move to St James' Park if he can be guaranteed playing opportunities.
Everton, Leicester City and Brighton have made approaches to sign Abraham either on loan or on a permanent basis.
The 19-year-old impressed whilst on loan at Bristol City, scoring 23 goals in the Championship and helping them avoid the drop in the process.
