Ex-West Brom, Stoke City Star Odemwingie Contributes To Three Goals In MadUtd Win
Published: May 19, 2017Former West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie is topping the Indonesian Liga 1 goal charts after netting a goal and providing two assists in Madura United's 4-1 rout of PS TNI on game week seven.
Indonesia international of Nigerian descent Greg Nwokolo opened the scoring in the 17th minute after Odemwingie's magnificent right-footed pass.
In a reversal of roles, the Super Eagles star bagged his fifth goal of the season in the 42nd minute after he was set up by Nwokolo, before providing another assist for MadUtd's third goal on the hour mark.
Before today's fixture against PS TNI, Odemwingie was the joint-leading marksman in Indonesia, level on four goals with Hilton Moreira (Sriwijaya FC), Reinaldo (PSM Makassar) and Boas Salossa (Persipura Jayapura).
The Bendel Insurance product transferred to Madura United last month after spells in Belgium, France, Russia and England.
