Tottenham's Dele, Only Player Of Nigerian Descent, Nominated For Premier League Award
Published: May 15, 2017Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has been nominated for the Premier League seasonal awards.
The England star is in the running to be named Player of the Season, and has to see off competition from teammates Harry Kane and Jan Vertonghen, Chelsea trio Eden Hazard, Cesar Azpilicueta and N'Golo Kante.
The other nominees are Romelu Lukaku (Everton) and Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal).
Alli, 21, has scored 17 goals and 5 assists in 35 Premier League appearances and was named EA Sports Player of the Month in January.
The winner is decided by a combination of fans' votes and the views of an expert panel.
