Celtic In The Driving Seat Ahead Of Liverpool For Chelsea's Nigerian Prospect
Published: May 09, 2017Scottish champions Celtic have moved ahead of Liverpool in the race for the signature of Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke, it has been claimed.
Several reports in the Scottish press, including Daily Record and The Sun, suggest that Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is interested in snapping up the England Under-21 international.
Solanke's contract with Chelsea is expected to run out at the end of this season and he has not yet signed the new deal offered to him, which has led to interest from some of the top clubs in Europe.
Apart from the aforementioned clubs, Arsenal and Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on the situation of the 19-year-old.
He has played nonstop at Chelsea for the past thirteen years, though he had a loan spell at Vitesse last season.
