Chelsea's Nigeria Talent To Wear Iconic Number 10 Jersey For England At World Cup
Published: May 08, 2017England U20 head coach Paul Simpson has announced a 21-man roster for the upcoming Fifa U20 World Cup, with six players of Nigerian descent making the squad list.
Chelsea duo Fikayo Tomori and Dominic Solanke, Liverpool midfielder Sheyi Ojo, Tottenham Hotspur starlet Joshua Onomah and Everton rising star Ademola Lookman are set to put themselves in the shop window when the tournament begins on May 20.
Former Golden Eaglets trainee Ovie Ejaria has been included in the squad, contrary to earlier reports that suggested that the Liverpool whizkid was not going to be selected due to an ankle injury he picked up late January.
Solanke will wear the iconic number ten jersey previously worn with pride by the likes of Danny Murphy, Michael Woods, Callum McManaman and Jamie Pollock in previous editions of the Fifa U20 World Cup.
Fikayo Tomori will suit up with the number 5 kit, Onomah 7, Ojo 19, Ejaria 20, while Lookman will play with the number 11 shirt.
England U20s have been draw in Group A along with Argentina, Guinea and Korea Republic.
