Exclusive: Chelsea Loanee Omeruo, Onazi Omitted From Nigeria Roster For Paris Training Camp
Published: May 02, 2017Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that two Turkish-based stars in the shape of Kenneth Omeruo and assistant skipper Eddy Onazi have been omitted from the Super Eagles roster for a training camp in France which begins in three weeks time.
That's not to say the Chelsea loanee and Trabzonspor midfielder are not in contention to add to their international caps when the national team trades tackles with South Africa in an African Cup of Nations qualifier.
Omeruo and Onazi have not been called up because the Turkish Super Lig will conclude on June 3, just a week before the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Bafana Bafana.
It is envisaged that the two players, particularly Onazi, will head straight to Uyo for the second phase of camping after their team's last matches.
Nigeria will face Corsica on May 26 in a friendly and there's a possibility of another friendly against a yet to be determined opponent at the end of this month.
