Twenty Three Players Of Nigerian Descent Called Up By England Youth Teams This Season

Twenty-three Nigerian players have been called up to England’s youth teams since the start of the 2016-2017 season.
With six players called up, Chelsea have contributed the most players of Nigerian heritage, followed by Arsenal who have five players on the list, Man City have three.
Nine players, including Chelsea prospect Jordan Aina, have been invited to play for England U16 team.
Five players were called up to the U21 squad, U18 four, U20 three, while the U19 and U17 squad have one player each.
Twelve percent of the 198 players that have earned call ups this season are eligible to play for Nigeria.
