Mikel Opens Up On Transfer Situation: I Am Waiting To Play For Chelsea
Published: December 11, 2016The future of Super Eagles midfielder John Obi Mikel is still covered in mist, with coach Antonio Conte suggesting that he won’t be sold in the January transfer window.
Mikel is out of contract with the Blues in June and has not played since the appointment of Conte, and has admitted that he’s in the dark regarding his future with the Stamford Bridge side.
“Waiting to be called to play, I will continue working hard to do my best, ”Mikel told BBC World Football, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
“We will see what will happen in January. I am a professional, I will continue to work hard, hoping to take the field.”
In recent weeks, Mikel has been linked with clubs in France, Spain, China and the Premier League.
