Chukwueze returns with a bang: Late winner seals AC Milan victory in 5-goal thriller against Parma

Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze marked his return from injury in spectacular fashion, scoring a dramatic 95th-minute winner in AC Milan's 3-2 victory over Parma at the San Siro on Sunday afternoon.

Chukwueze, who had been sidelined since December 2024 due to a lesion of his left biceps femoris, made his long-awaited comeback as a substitute.

The 25-year-old replaced Youssouf Fofana in the 57th minute, with Milan pushing for all three points.

In the dying moments of the game, Chukwueze latched onto a setup from Strahinja Pavlović to bundle the ball into the net, sending the San Siro into raptures.

His goal capped a thrilling comeback for the Rossoneri, who had earlier scored through Tijjani Reijnders and Christian Pulisic.

The strike was Chukwueze's fourth goal of the season, to go along with one assist in 23 appearances across all competitions.

His return could not have come at a better time for AC Milan, who are in the thick of regaining momentum under new head coach Sérgio Conceição.

The Nigerian winger missed six matches during his injury layoff, including Milan's Supercoppa Italia triumph.

Chukwueze's return to the fold provides Conceição with a valuable attacking option as Milan look to maintain their push for silverware on multiple fronts.

Reflecting on his form, Chukwueze will hope to shake off past struggles at the club and rediscover the consistency that made him a standout performer at Villarreal.
