Exclusive: Mikel Ten Million Euros Wage Demand Scuppers Valencia Deal
Published: December 04, 2016Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Chelsea star John Obi Mikel has turned down a move to La Liga club Valencia after they failed to meet his wage demands.
The Nigeria skipper found himself out of favour at Stamford Bridge after representing the Dream Team at the 2016 Olympic Games, and his representatives are looking to find him a club in the January transfer window.
Valencia had offered Mikel three million euros wages per season, which was deemed insufficient by the holding midfielder.
A move to Asia looks the most feasible option as he has demanded ten million euros wages per season from interested clubs.
The 29-year-old Mikel is in the final six months of his contract with the Blues.
